Rick Davis is a partner at Stonecourt Capital, a private equity investor located in New York City. He has a long and distinguished career in both the public and private sector.
Having served on President Ronald Reagan’s political team in 1980 & 1988, and in three Reagan Administration Cabinet Agencies before becoming the White House special assistant to the president for the Domestic Policy Council. President George H.W. Bush appointed him as deputy executive director for the White House Conference on Science and Economic Research Related to Global Climate Change.
While in the private sector, Davis built one of the most influential and successful public affairs companies in the United States. In addition to Ronald Reagan’s campaigns, Davis worked in senior leadership positions for the 1988 George H.W. Bush presidential campaign and in 1996 for Robert Dole’s presidential campaign. In 2000 and 2008, Davis served as Senator John McCain’s national campaign manager, leading all aspects leading all aspects of the campaign activity.
Davis currently serves on the board of the Environmental Defense Action Fund. He lives in Alexandria, Va., and is married to Dr. Karen Davis.
