Romanova is a Russian human rights and civil society activist. She has worked in non-governmental human rights organizations since 2006. Through her work, Romanova promotes the values of human rights, fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law. She has obtained two master’s degrees in Foreign Languages and Law. She has also studied International Human Rights Law at the International Institute of Human Rights in France. Romanova has completed “The German Chancellor Fellowship for Tomorrow’s Leaders”, supported by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany. Romanova seeks to defend the human rights of prisoners in Russian detention facilities.
