Dr. Zyh Akumawah is the founder and medical director of Easy Health, an organization aimed at improving the health outcomes of people trapped in conflict, hard to reach communities, and underprivileged communities through the utilization of telehealth. Zyh believes that access to healthcare is a basic need and plays an integral role in fostering peace and reconciliation, especially in conflict-affected areas. Her passion and drive are the hope of someday seeing universal health coverage across Africa, which she believes will happen through the use of growing technological advancements in digital health, which are invaluable to this effort. She also sees health coverage and wellness technology as a means to create peace in high-conflict areas.
