Diego Mora Bello is a journalist and communications specialist from Bogota, Colombia. His professional focus is on human rights, specifically working on issues related to HIV/AIDs and the social stigma surrounding the issue. He works to create a national dialogue to reduce the stigma that surrounds HIV/AIDs in his country. In addition to his work with the HIV community, he has dedicated his time to fighting for LGBT rights in Latin America, and has traveled the world to various conferences focused on human rights as a Colombian representative. Mora Bello seeks to change the media depiction of the HIV/AIDS community in Colombia and Latin America more broadly to eliminate discrimination against the HIV/AIDS and LGBT communities.
