Deodat Persaud is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in leadership, elections management, and community service. He currently serves as an Assistant Registration Officer at the Guyana Elections Commission, where he has been employed since 2005, bringing over 18 years of expertise in elections management. His roles have included overseeing election logistics, supervising recounts, managing polling stations, and ensuring the integrity and transparency of the electoral process. Deodat has also been deeply involved in civic engagement. He is the founder and president of the Guyana Center for Civic Engagement and the founder of the Golden Om Dharmic Youth Organization, both dedicated to promoting civic involvement, youth leadership, and community development. Additionally, he is a member of the National Suicide Prevention Commission, highlighting his commitment to addressing critical social issues. An advocate for education and personal development, Deodat is also a debate mentor, guiding young minds in developing their public speaking and critical thinking skills. His academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Public Administration and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Guyana.
