Carlos Mayorga is a highly regarded innovator, businessman and entrepreneur who encourages the establishment of sustainable and high impact businesses. With experience in the expansion of innovative business models, Mayorga seeks to promote growth-oriented entrepreneurship, in Colombia, through targeted investment in new entrepreneurs and improving the governance in private and public organizations.
Mayorga received the inaugural McCain Institute Catalyst Grant in 2016 for his work in promoting Colombian entrepreneurship. Using the grant, Mayorga made a large impact, by helping to create 30 new small businesses and 85 new jobs in just one year and also by giving Colombian citizens access to educational programs in a secondary language, developing better communication skills for these future entrepreneurs.
