Bilguun Erdenebat is a social development and gender equality advocate from Mongolia. She has collaborated with prominent international organizations such as Save the Children, GIZ, GGGI, UNEP, the Green Climate Fund, and EBRD. Currently, she works with Asian Development Bank projects in Southeast Asia, including countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Timor-Leste. Her work empowers marginalized communities, youth, and women through social development initiatives and advocacy for systemic change. Bilguun is actively engaged in research and advocacy at the intersection of AI and social impact. She is dedicated to exploring how AI technologies can be harnessed to address social challenges and promote equitable development, particularly for underrepresented and vulnerable groups. Bilguun has a passion for inclusive education, demonstrated through her volunteer work as the Director of EducationUSA Mongolia and as President of the Mongolian Association of State Alumni (MASA), one of the top three U.S. alumni associations in the world. Her efforts have been instrumental in creating accessible education opportunities for over 51,000 students in Mongolia. In 2020, the U.S. Department of State recognized her efforts to address educational inequality by awarding her the 'Asia-Pacific Region's Rising Star Award' and the 'Global Outstanding Team Project Award.' Asia Society selected her as one of the Global 40 Young Leaders in 2022, solidifying her reputation as a leading figure in Asia-Pacific development. Bilguun was the first Mongolian Fulbright Scholar at Cornell University. She holds an M.P.S. in International Development from Cornell University and a B.A. from the National University of Mongolia.
