Alyona Nevmerzhytska serves as chief executive officer of the leading Ukrainian independent online news media platform hromadske.ua. Nevmerzhytska started her career in media in 2012 at the English-language news source Kyiv Post and since that time has made media her passion, with a focus on the business side of media. Nevmerzhytska’s main goal is making sure the newsroom can do its ethical job at the highest level and increasing the level of media literacy in Ukraine, promoting democratic values to the civil society and population of Ukraine. She is a graduate of Stockholm School of Economics Riga’s Media Management Program and Atlantic Council Millennium Leadership Fellow 2023. She speaks Ukrainian, English and German.
