Victoria Maldonado

Senior Program Coordinator, National Security & Counterterrorism Fellowship.

Victoria is the Senior Program Coordinator for the McCain Institute’s National Security & Counterterrorism (NSCT) Fellowship. In this role, she helps coordinate and execute three week-long modules for the NSCT Fellows, providing on-the-ground support in Washington, D.C., London, and Canberra.

Prior to joining the McCain Institute, Victoria worked at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in the Public Affairs Department, focused on nuclear security at the U.S. Mission to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and contributed to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) on Sustainable Development Goals.

Victoria is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University, with a concentration in counterterrorism and a focus on the malicious use of emerging technologies. She graduated with a dual bachelor’s degree in International Comparative Politics and Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from The American University of Paris.

In her free time, Victoria enjoys learning new languages, traveling, and spending time with her Goldendoodle and partner Captain Ryan Swan.
