Alice Burns

Director of Major Events

Alice Burns is the director of major events for the McCain Institute at Arizona State University. In this role, she oversees and executes the McCain Institute’s large-scale, high-profile events that engage global leaders and policymakers, including the annual Sedona Forum.   

Alice is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of Capitol Hill experience managing high-level operations, communications, and event execution across the public, private, and non-profit sectors.   Alice was a senior advisor for U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, where she led international Congressional delegations to over 54 countries.  She also had the great honor of working for U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, U.S. Senator Mel Martinez, and Congressman Lynn Westmoreland.

Alice is a native of Pensacola, Florida, married to a US Navy Veteran, and the bonus mom to five children.
