Cate Murray

Cate is a rising sophomore at Pennsylvania State University, focusing on Psychology and Political Science. She is interested in advancing the understanding of the intersection between psychology and leadership, exploring those individual traits that lend themselves to effective leadership.

With a diverse range of professional experiences, Cate has honed her skills and interests. At the McCain Institute, she is a Junior Fellow, contributing to the Global Leaders Team. She has also worked with Center Forward, a foundation dedicated to advancing bipartisan cooperation, and served as a Staff Assistant to the 535 Group, LLC, a Washington, DC-based consulting firm.

Cate volunteers with various programs in Northern Virginia, taking a primary interest in nonprofits relating to climate change, ocean pollution, and animal rights. Whenever she has free time, Cate enjoys traveling, reading and active sports such as snowboarding and swimming.
