Managing Director, Peacebuilding, Humanity United
Melanie Greenberg has spent her career in support of the field of Peacebuilding, from the perspectives of philanthropy, practice, and academia. Melanie is currently Managing Director for Peacebuilding at Humanity United, and previously served as CEO of the Alliance for Peacebuilding. Earlier in her career, Melanie researched new concepts of security as Associate Director of the Stanford Center for International Security and Cooperation, and Deputy Director of the Stanford Center on Conflict and Negotiation. She also helped link domestic and international peacebuilding as Program Director for Conflict Resolution at the Hewlett Foundation. Melanie has helped design and facilitate public peace processes in the Middle East, Northern Ireland, and the Caucasus, and she is a frequent writer, lecturer, and trainer in the areas of international law, international security, and peacebuilding, Melanie holds an AB from Harvard and a JD from Stanford Law School, and lives in McLean, Virginia.
