Senior Director of Communications and Strategic Engagement
Amy Grappone is the senior director of communications and strategic engagement for the McCain Institute at Arizona State University. In this role, she oversees the McCain Institute’s communications, branding, and media strategy.
Amy is a seasoned communicator with a strong record of providing communications counsel to elected officials, top-tier political campaigns, job-creators, and major federal and state agencies. Prior to joining the McCain Institute, Amy served as director of communications for U.S. Senator Todd Young of Indiana, a leader on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. She also served as a top communicator for U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia.
A Florida native, Amy began her career in the press office of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida State University. Amy currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband and son.
