Counter Terrorism Policing/Home Office, U.K.

Jonathan represents the UK’s Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) command in high-level decisions about the UK’s approach to Counterterrorism and National Security. Prior to this, he worked in the UK Civil Service since 2016, covering a variety of National Security and Law Enforcement portfolios, including as Private Secretary to two Home Secretaries. He has played a fundamental role in the response to terrorist incidents and geopolitical crises such as the NATO evacuation from Afghanistan and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.  

Jonathan speaks conversational Arabic having spent a year in revolutionary Egypt, was awarded a BA in Arabic and Middle East Studies from the University of Exeter, and holds an MSc in Conflict Studies from the LSE. He also volunteers as a Special Constable in the Metropolitan Police.
