Anthony Aslou serves as a foreign affairs officer at the U.S. Department of State. He currently works in the Office of Counterterrorism Finance and Designations in the Bureau of Counterterrorism, where he develops and implements policies to counter the financing of terrorism in East, Central and Southern Africa. In his role, Anthony works with inter-agency and foreign partners to collaborate on capacity building efforts and on domestic and international sanctions. Anthony will also detail to the Lebanon Desk, supporting U.S. foreign policy objectives while working with regional and international partners in assisting the country. Anthony is a proud Arab American and native Floridian. He previously served as the director of events and programming for the Young Professionals in Foreign Policy, as well as the social affairs coordinator for the Arab Americans in Foreign Affairs Agencies at the Department of State. Anthony received his Master of Arts in international security from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and graduated with honors with a B.A. in political science and international relations from the University of Central Florida.
